Read this from The Hindu in an article “A new you!” by Geeta Padmanaban. Found it useful, so just sharing with you people.
- Place the ‘needs’ and ’feelings’ of others before your own! You will then ‘feel good’ and so will others.
- Feeling negative or depressed? Act as if…you feel good. Speak upbeat words in an excited tone, smile, use broad gestures. Emotion follows action.
- Be a fantastic listener! Align your body language to convey that you are truly listening! This builds rapport!
- Build rapport with everyone! A genuine smile, appreciative words, a ‘thank you’ and people remember you.
- Make complimentary remarks about people you meet, every time.
- Present a picture of good health! Never discuss your occasional indifferent health with anyone.
